Mike Brooks and Steve gave a class on crankbaits and spinnerbaits in February and reports were that they did an outstanding job. Thanks guys.
There are 5 boaters who have volunteered to support the Bearcat Open on April 5th at Mozingo. Thanks to Bill Horvath, Bob Greene, Bob Jorgensen, Steve Read and Mark Justice. More information will be provided to them directly. Would be good to have about one or two more boats in case they’re needed.
Two more members of the club are now certified youth instructors after attending the class on March 1st with Mr Kevin Reich from Fishing’s Future. Good job Mike Brooks and Bill Frederick.
Banquet Committee Report: No report. The club is looking for a volunteer to take over from Steve. We did vote on the award for the 2014 tournament year to be pullovers, either donated or purchased.

OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:
The Treasurer led a discussion about initiating an annual budget for the LBC. After discussion, the concept of an annual budget was approved but the original change to the bylaws was modified to strike the words as shown below:
By Law Change for Treasurer Duties. Add the following:
“The treasurer will prepare the annual Leavenworth Bass Club budget to be presented to the general membership at the November meeting for the period 1 Nov XX to 31 Oct XX. After discussion, the membership shall then vote to approve the budget by simple majority.”
“Any changes to the budget thereafter must be approved by simple majority at a club meeting.”
This motion was made, discussed and seconded. Per our By-Laws we must wait until our April meeting prior to voting on this motion. Please take a few minutes to review the wording and be prepared for continuing our discussion and voting in April.
New Members: Please welcome our newest member, Dane Barksdale to the club.
Tournament Director’s Report: The TD showed a new tournament card that will do away with the duplicate information on another document. Randy reminded us to check our insurance before the next tournament. Also, several members need to pay their dues before the tournament. They were notified by the secetary..
The next tournament will be at Table Rock, March 22nd & 23rd. Trailering is allowed, and weigh in will be at Schooner Creek.

Following the regular meeting Bob Jorgensen provided a very informative presentation on fishing Table Rock in the Spring. Bob’s presentation included very detailed maps based on his several decades of experience not just fishing but CATCHING fish. Not sure we could ever hear this much useable detail from any other presentation. Bob’s willingness to share information is unparalleled.
THANK YOU BOB !!!!!
As mentioned previously the next month’s agenda will be a swap meet. Bring your excess tackle and equipment (and a pocket full of money) to buy and sell things you know you need.
