The next monthly Club meeting is on October 7th, 2013 at the Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club. The grills will be ready at 6:00 PM for you to cook your steaks, hamburgers or whatever you want to bring. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM.

For all of you that missed the August meeting, you missed a chance to win a free entry into a 2014 season tournament. Just remember, you cannot affect any club decisions or win a free entry into a tournament, if you do not show up for the meetings! Come early and join us around the bar.
The September 9th, 2013 General Membership Meeting Minutes follows:
WELCOME
The Leavenworth Bass Club held its regular monthly meeting on September 9th at the Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club Clubhouse. There were 18 members present. The
President called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes for the August 5rd, 2013 general membership meeting were approved as written. They were e-mailed to all members and were posted to the club website. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as posted. The motion carried and the secretary’s report was accepted as posted on the web site.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer reported a beginning balance of $5149.47 and an ending balance of $4830.12. The Treasurer reported a beginning balance of $15268.23 in the Fishing for Freedom account with an ending balance of $30117.87. The Fishing for Freedom PayPal account has a current balance of $ 448.81. The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.
Conservation Committee: The Conservation committee Chairman Dan Senterfit was accepting recycle donations at the meeting. He further stated that he currently in contact with Tory Mason in reference to a Fall Conservation Project at Mozingo Lake. The project would be to place brush piles in the lake and the date for this project was depending on when they could acquire the barge needed to place the brush piles. He further stated that he may invite NWMSU for assistance on this project. It was reported that Dan needed a little more plastic and line recycle to mail out a full box, but a motion was made and accepted/approved to send out what he has now and use that for F3 prizes/donations.
Youth Committee: There is a Leavenworth Kids fishing derby sponsored by the city to be held on 22 September, they would like the assistance of two persons from the club to assist with this event. All those interested in participating please contact Mike Brooks for more information.
Banquet Committee: No Report.
Webmaster: Travis announced that he is getting the web site cleaned up and that there were new pictures posted of the tournaments at Mozingo. He further asked for a better system for reporting tournament results to assist him with getting them posted to the website.
Vice President’s report: Steve Read reported that NWMSU wants to do a one day tournament that will be the same time as the MOBASS state tournament and requested that anyone who wants to assist with the NWMSU tournament get with him.
President’s Report: MOBASS Increased their dues by $10.00, (National now $30 and the State is $30. This increase has no impact on the LBC annual dues. Koppers Baits will donate 300 baits to the MO Bass Nation. These will be available (initially 10 per club) for $50.00 during the State Qualifier as a fund raiser for the 2014 Division Team. Please use the sponsors and “Like” them on Facebook

There will no longer be a Federation News Paper (Cost saving measure) was approved by the Directors present by a vote.
State qualifier attendees prizes will include $5000 in Mercury, Motorguide, and Lowrance merchandise in addition to $500 in Solarbat products. (It was voted on by the members present to spend the same amount this year at the State Qualifier as was spent in 2012. Because of the success of the State Raffle ($4500 was raised and the elimination of the State News Paper)
In 2014 there will be an additional (Fall Tournament) as a fundraiser for the 2014 State Qualifier to offset expenses.
Election of Officer: No Changes Were Made… the terms of office are for 2 years.
Marketing, Conservation, Tournament Director and Youth Directors solicited for members to volunteer as committee men or to “Share” the duties.

13 July Summer Sizzler Truman (Fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network) $2772 This year was raised and donated

The LBC will hold its annual election of officers on Monday 7 October 2013 as part of the regular monthly meeting. Every member of the LBC is encouraged to participate as an officer or a committee member!
The Club Officer positions that will be elected are;
President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Tournament Director, Youth Director, Members-At-Large (2).
The below listed individuals are eligible to be Club officers for the 2014 tournament year. These members have participated in 50% or more of club events during the 2013 tournament year. Please come to the 7 October 2013 meeting prepared to nominate / elect your officers for 2014.
Fishing For Freedom: Larry Stoafer reported that the F3 tournament is four weeks away and 25 boats short. He requested that Club members get the word out and ask/solicit volunteers for this tournament.
Old Business: There was no old business discussed.
New Business: It was brought to the attention of the Club that Member Bill Horvath and his wife were away due to the passing of Bill’s Mother-in-Law. The club was asked to keep this great family in their thoughts and prayers. A card was sent to the Horvath family from the LBC.
Member Ray Cates introduced a boat care product that was donated to the top four anglers in the LBC standing. The product is from Phillips Fishing Products and is a great product currently used and supported by member Bob Greene. Please check out this company’s boat care products at their web site. New Members: No prospective members were present.
Tournament Director’s Report: Tournament Director Ray Hillebrand announced the results of the August LBC Tournament; those results are posted on our web site:

18 August Mozingo Tournament:
5th Place: Stephan Smith who reported using Big worms in trees.
4th Place: Bob Greene who reported using small worms in the grass.
3rd Place: Frank Carol who used senko in the grass.
2nd Place: Ray Cates who used a 6 inch yum dinger in the grass
1st Place: Travis Perett who used a 7 inch senko in the grass.
19 August Mozingo Tournament:
5th Place: Bob Jorgenson who reported using a black worm on a J-Rig in the grass.
4th Place: Ray Cates who reported using a Green pumpkin/Purple worm in lily pads and grass.
3rd Place: Rich Perl who reported using chug style bait.
2nd Place: Dennis Edwards who reported using a green pumpkin senko in the grass.
1st Place: Bob Greene who reported using a punch style bait with a D-Bomb California Love color and a Top water frog.
Tournament Committee Announcement:
The LBC Classic will take place at Truman Lake Mo. On September 21st and 22nd and will launch out of Long Shoal Marina. The times are 0630 – 1500 and 0630 to 1400 those days. The lake is off limits to competitors that week until Friday 20 September. The club voted and approved a $200.00 payout fee for each team.
