Conservation Committee Report:  Danny reported he has an almost full box of used plastics, and as soon as he receives a few more items, he’ll send it in the Whopper Baits.

Youth Director Report: The 2016 Fall Bearcat Open ended up with 18 teams. We provided 3 boats and one team to the event. Fishing was very tough, with only about half the field weighing in a keeper. The team of Bill Horvath and Brandon Daniel took 3rd place with a weight of 6.26 lbs with 3 fish.

Expect a Christmas party/fund raiser sometime in December in Maryville. Details to follow.

Mark Justice and Steve Read gave a presentation to the students prior to the tournament on co-angler etiquette and expected lures – well received by the students at their weekly meeting. Thanks, guys.

Banquet Committee Report:  The menu is not set for the banquet, but John will have that for our December meeting.

Webmaster Report:  No report. Brent can assist any members if they have difficulty accessing the website. If you have suggestions for the web site or need help or a password, contact Brent.

President’s Report:  Steve thanked the club for the flowers at his Mother in Law’s funeral.

Fishing for Freedom:        Larry gave a summary of the 2105 Fishing for Freedom results – ended up with 125 boats for the warriors. Another terrific event with numerous club members helping to  make it so.

Old Business:  None

New Business:  None.

By-Law changes. We discussed  possibly changing the bylaws on how we determine “who” is eligible to hold office. The change for SECTION 6: ELIGABILITY FOR HOLDING OFFICE reads as:

  • Have attended at least 50% of all regular chapter functions for the preceding year.

The change will be further discussed and voted on at the December meeting. Bill Horvath, Larry Stoafer and Bill Gevedon will also present a recommendation on which “events” count to determine the 50% attendance record of the members and will present their recommendation also at the December meeting.

Also, in Article IX, add one of the following sentences :

“Type of awards presented will be voted on at the meeting prior to the first regular tournament of the year.”

“Type of awards desired will be voted on at the meeting prior to the first regular tournament of the year.”

New Members: Welcome to Todd McGowan and Kenny Smith as the first new members for the 2016 tournament year. Todd’s sponsor is Rich Pearl and Kenny’s is Steve Read. Welcome to the club !!!

New Equipment Report:   No report

Outside Activities: No report

MOBASS news: Larry was the team captain for the MOBASS state team tournament.  There were 136 boats this year, and the bit was very tough there at Table Rock. Unfortunately, we did not place anyone on the state team this year, but congratulations to Bob Jorgensen for being the highest placed LBC member this year.
