Youth Committee Report: 5 members supported the annual Mel Hedrick kid’s fishing derby at Lamborne Farm in Leavenworth on June 20th. Most of the Leavenworth County Commissioners were there also. After a battle with the pond scum and weeds, the 85 kids settled down and caught fish, and more fish !! The most fish by one kid was over 30 !!. Could not have done it without Steve Read, Bill Gevedon, Larry Stoafer and Bob Jorgensen supporting. Thanks, guys for another very successful kid’s event.

Banquet Committee Report:  Members voted to have John make the reservation at the Eagles for 2016 so we have at least one place to use.

Webmaster Report:  Brent is still trying to get angler profiles. He also now has the passwords so he can maintain the website.

If you have suggestions for the web site or need help or a password, contact Brent.

Vice President’s Report:  August program will be a club swap meet. Members can bring

their unused fishing and boating items to buy, barter, sell, and trade. September program is  how to prefish/prepare for multiple day tournaments. The November program will be General sseasonal Patterns and our annual tournament rules discussion.

Larry is working on a Lowrance electronics seminar currently being planned to be conducted on 3 Oct 2015 at Bass Pro Shops in Independence (classroom activities). We will have an avid Lowrance user and a manufacturers rep for 2-4hrs in the morning during the classroom portion. We will have the Lowrance desk top training devices available. Bass Pro will open the classroom portion to everyone to maximize participation. The on the water instruction will be just for the LBC hosted by the avid Lowrance user. It will be in the afternoon on one of the city lakes around Independence. Boats in the water in a pre-tournament launch configuration so the instructor can move from deck to deck and talk and help with setup.

President’s Report:  We can now order single shirt orders from Valley creations without an additional  charge. Before it was 12 to get the price break.
