Please note, the next regular club meeting will be on August 4th, 2014. The grills will be ready at 6:00 PM for you to cook your steaks, hamburgers or whatever you want to bring. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Just remember, you cannot affect any club decisions or win a free entry into a tournament, if you do not show up for the meetings! Come early and join us around the bar.

The General Membership Meeting Minutes follows:
WELCOME: The Leavenworth Bass Club held its regular monthly meeting on July 7th at Mondo Tackle. There were members present. The Vice President called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Mondo Tackle is giving the LBC a 10% discount moving forward. Just let him know you are with the LBC when ordering.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes for June 2014 were approved as written. They were e-mailed to all members and were posted to the club website.
If you have ANY changes or corrections for the roster, pass them along to the secretary.
Treasurer’s Report: The Club checking account had a starting balance of $4,367.87 and an ending balance of $4312.87. The Fishing for Freedom checking account had a starting balance of $18,868.54 and an ending balance of $23,577.01. The Treasurer’s report was approved as presented.

Conservation Committee Report: No report
Youth Committee Report: Mel Hendrick Fishing Derby this Saturday from 9-12 at Penn and 10th street in Leavenworth. Thanks to Dan Senterfitt, Frank Carroll and a prior member, Don Burleson who represented the club.
-KS State High School TBF Championship tournament is being held this weekend for anyone who is interested on Wilson Lake. If you have a youngster interested see Larry Stoafer.
Banquet Committee Report: No report.

Webmaster Report: Travis filling in for the webmaster, commented that the forums are getting more use and members need to remember to check it out. The more post people make the more enjoyable it is to read. Fish pics, fishing reports and anything else would be good to post.

Vice President’s Report: Tickets for MOBASS raffle are for sale. $5.00 per ticket. the remaining tickets and money will be turned in at Saturday’s Mo-Bass meeting in Warsaw. 59 tickets out of 80 were sold.

President’s Report: MOBASS meeting at Warsaw Saturday July 12th. Increase in dues will be voted on. There was some discussion on what the actual increase cost would be. Steve commented that on the MOBASS report it says the increase will be to $30. Kenny brought up that we already pay $30. Steve will look into it. Answer is: The minutes being previewed were 2013 not 2014..

OLD BUSINESS: No report.
NEW BUSINESS: FFF Report- Everything is proceeding according to plan. 170 warriors signed up so far, usually 20% will not show or cancel. Right now 78 or 79 boaters. More boaters are needed. Go to the website and register if you have not registered as a volunteer.
New Business- Congrats to Larry Stoafer for qualifying to fish the TBF nationals. He is one of two representing the state of Kansas. He has the potential to win the “Living the Dream” package where he gets his expenses paid to fish the FLW tour.
TBF qualifier is Aug 2 at Wilson Lake. See Larry for details if interested in fishing it.
Garret Cates qualified for the BASS College Nationals in Georgia in July. Good Luck to him.
Larry has fliers for FFF. If you know of a place where fishermen will see it please post.
There were no by law or tournament rules proposed for changes.
New Members: Tilden Edwards (Dennis Edward’s son) was accepted as a new member. He is 19 and in college at Missouri Valley. Welcome Tilden
Tournament Director’s Report: Tx Director’s Report- Randy read and explained the “No Cull Rule.” Max 6 fish in livewell then you’re done fishing. Any questions contact Randy.
At the next Mozingo tournament be careful of the temp in your livewell with keeping fish alive. Be sure to have ice handy. Dan Senterfitt will send out an article about proper way to keep fish alive in the livewell during the summer months.
