On July 23rd, 11 members of the Leavenworth Bass Club donated their time to improve the fish population in Middle Creek Lake, located just south of Louisburg, KS.  Lucas Kowalewski, Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Biologistwho oversees the lake and a Leavenworth native, provided enough material to construct 20 “Georgia Cubes,” an artificial fish habitat that is four feet wide, four feet deep, and three feet high.  Club members Mike Brooks, Steve Clark, Ray Cates, Frank Carroll, Bill Gevedon, Ken Hackworth, Mark Justice, Danny Lee, Steve Read, Dan Senterfitt and Larry Stoafer assembled the cubes and assisted with their placement in the lake.  This project demonstrates the Club’s commitment to conserve and improve the fishing resources available in the greater Kansas City area.
